 History

  • 1976 — Founded H&E Machinery as a machine overhaul business.

  • 1977 — Moved into tool & die work/primarily jet engine compressor blades.

  • 1978 — Began work for Ingersoll-Rand prototype and small steam turbine blades.

  • 1981 — Incorporated and expanded into industrial size unit steam turbine blades.

  • 1981-85 —grew further into steam turbine blades for OEM's, MRO shops and end users.

  • 1985 — 6,000 sq. ft. facility and 2,400 sq. ft. office was built.

  • 1986 — A second 6,000 sq. ft. addition was built to accommodate work on larger steam turbines for the utility market.

  • 1989 — A second 2,400 sq. ft. space was added to accommodate engineering and quality control areas.

  • 1996 — An additional 20,000 sq. ft. manufacturing, engineering and quality control space was completed in Ithaca.

  • 2000 — Stork N.V., (based in the Netherlands) acquires H&E Machinery –  The Company becomes STORK H&E Turbo Blading, Inc.

  • 2005 — Opened Owego manufacturing facility.
